YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- Legislative candidates are using the summer to prepare for the fall run to the November election.

District 18 Representative Ryan Cwach of Yankton says he has begun making contacts.

Cwach is one of eight democrats in the seventy-member state House. He says he doesn’t often think in political terms.

Cwach says he has found a way to be effective in the minority.

Cwach is running for his third term in the House. Others in the House race include democrat Jay Williams and republicans Representative Mike Stevens and challenger Julie Auch.
