WASHINGTON, D.C. (WNAX) – President Trump announced that $15 to $20 billion would be made available to help ag producers hit by the ongoing trade war and bad weather.
South Dakota Congressman Dusty Johnson says they still don’t have many details of the second round of market facilitation payments.
Johnson says the Ag Department wants to wait until the bulk of planting is done.
Johnson says it could be a “make or break” situation for many producers.
The Ag Department says payments may be made in thirds starting this summer, another payment in the fall and the final payment next winter.
