YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- The Yankton School District is moving toward construction of a new, early childhood education center. The school board approved paying six hundred thousand dollars for about twelve acres of land in the northeast part of the city for the new building.

Superintendent Wayne Kindle says they are working with a construction budget.

Kindle says they will be able to self finance the construction.

Kindle says they have been planning for several years for this facility.

The building will house all the Pre-K, Junior-K and Kindergarten students in the district.
