District 3 members Senator Al Novstrup & Representative Carl Perry offered their thoughts on the speech.

Representative Perry talks about how difficult it could be to take care of the “Big 3”.

Senator Novstrup talks about the help needed for health providers in the rural communities.

Perry talks about Medicaid expansion that was passed by the voters back in November.

Perry talks about the Incarceration Construction Fund which will now be used for penitentiary needs instead of regional jails.

Novstrup remains optimistic that money will be set aside for the Aberdeen Regional Jail.

Novstrup also comment on the construction fund that should benefit NSU.

The 2023 legislative will begin on January 10th, 2023.
