PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – There will be a lot of talk about hemp and CBD oil this summer in South Dakota.
Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg says his office will be working with the two interim legislative committees dealing with those issues.
Ravnsborg says the end results of those committees will most likely carry over into the 2020 legislative session.
There has been some controversy over hemp and CBD oil, with some states attorneys declining to file charges over use and possession.
Ravnsborg says those products have few regulations and standards.
Ravnsborg says both hemp oil and CBD oil are illegal under state law.
