SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Press Release) – The Eastern South Dakota chapter of the American Red Cross is excited to announce a new office location in Sioux Falls, SD. The Red Cross will close the office at 808 N. West Avenue and this building will be put up for sale in mid-July. This summer, Red Cross operations will move to 2925 E. 57th Street in Sioux Falls.
The change allows the Red Cross to streamline operations and make better use of donor dollars. The new office location will reduce overhead costs, allow the Red Cross to spend less on building maintenance, and put more money back into community services.
“Because the work of the Red Cross is in delivering services in our communities, there will be no disruption of services during this transition,” says Patty Brooks, Executive Director for the Red Cross in Eastern South Dakota. “We will continue helping those affected by disasters and work closely with community partners to make sure that Red Cross mission–driven services are provided.”
People across Eastern South Dakota depend on the Red Cross for disaster response, health and safety training, lifesaving blood collection, and emergency communications for the military and their families. If members of the community need to contact the Red Cross, they can do so by calling 605-336-2448. Anyone in need of emergency assistance can call the 24-hour disaster assistance hotline at 1-844-292-7677.
