SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (WNAX) – Following a year of record precipitation and now a cold and snowy winter, the stage is being set for spring flooding.
Mike Gillispie the service hydrologist at the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls says all the numbers are rising.

Gillispie says the Big Sioux River looks to be most at risk.
Gillispie says other rivers in the east could see moderate flooding.
Gillispie says the worst case would be a sudden warm up with spring thunderstorms.
