Most summer study committees of the South Dakota legislature will start their work next month.

A large study of mental health will be broken down into several subcommittees.

Representative Jean Hunhoff of Yankton will chair one of those study groups.

Hunhoff says they need to look at alternative care models.

Hunhoff says staffing levels at the Human Services Center is driving the need for the study.

Her committee will hold their first meeting on July seventeenth.
