VERMILLION, S.D.(WNAX)- The City of Vermillion will get over thirty million dollars in loans from the Department of Ag and Natural Resources for infrastructure improvements.
City Manager John Prescott says over twenty three million dollars will be used for major reconstruction of their wastewater treatment plant.
Prescott says they have to do the new construction while keeping the old wastewater plant running.
The City will get seven million dollars to improve the water treatment plant and well field. Prescott says that will involve work inside and out.
Both loans are for thirty years with the twenty three million at three point two five percent and the seven million dollars at two point seven five percent.
