ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – The attack on mosquitoes is taking to the air.
The Mosquito Control Division of the City of Aberdeen will be conducting an aerial application on Wednesday night (July 3), weather permitting.
Mark Hoven, Parks Superintendent, said that the mosquito count took off over the past weekend, prompting a ground spray on Monday night, following by the aerial application.
He said that there will be two planes in use Wednesday night, making the process go more quickly.
Hoven said that the fight against mosquitoes in general will continue until the first frost of the fall season.
He recommended that people take action to protect themselves if they are going to be out and about.
