PIERRE, S.D.(DRGNews)- Attendance is a concern.
That’s the word from Pierre School District Superintendent Dr. Kelly Glodt. He told the school board last week that this year’s overall attendance was lower than it was before COVID.
Glodt made these asks of parents.
Glodt says it takes both teachers and parents to help students be successful in school.
Glodt says parents encouraging their students to like school– starting at a young age– and talking about what education will mean to the students is also beneficial.
Pierre’s last day of school for this year is May 19.
