ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- As a part of the 3rd Annual Aberdeen Pride Festival was the walk from Aldrich Park to the Red Rooster on Main Street.  The theme of the walk this year was the “History of Queerness”.

Board member for Aberdeen Area Pride Liza Kollman provided a preview.

Kollman talks about Alexander the Great, the former leader of the Macedonian Empire from 356-323 B.C.

Kollman talked about one of the early leaders of the Han Dynasty of China, Wen of Han.

Kollman also talks about the Pueblo We’wha based out of New Mexico.

Kollman finally talked about 20th century poet & author Natalie Clifford Barney.

Turnout for the walk this year was much smaller than it was last year.
