ABERDEEN, SD (HubCityRadio.com) – On Monday’s edition of “The Sports Hub” the general manager and head coach of the Aberdeen Wings, Scott Langer visited with David Tukesbrey. Last year, coach Langer returned to Aberdeen after spending some time with the Fargo Force as the head coach in North Dakota.
Not only is he back in the Hub City as the head coach, but he’s also the general manager for the Wings; Langer enjoys his time on the road & watching film and bringing in the newest crop of Aberdeen Wings.
Just this last week, the Wings saw three of their athletes commit to play DIII college hockey. Kyle Contessa to Chatham University, Patrick O’Connell to Plymouth State University and Michael Casey to Endicott College. Langer takes a lot of pride in his athletes moving to the next level.
On June 15th, the Aberdeen Wings drafted three new players. Langer gives his thoughts on the newest players to lace up the skates.
In the conversation, coach Langer talked about the importance of being a ‘leader.’ Tukes asked him to unpack the term ‘leader’ & ‘leadership.’
The Wings will certainly lose players from the 2022 roster, but a good amount will be returning to the 2023 team.
