ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- At Monday night’s Aberdeen City Council meeting, City Manager Joe Gaa provided an update on how the budget process is going for 2024.
Gaa talks about the process itself.
Department heads provides the city council what they would like the city to budget for in May. Finance Officer Jordan McQuillan & City Manager Joe Gaa goes over the revenues in June.
Gaa tells the council that the city might need to budget about one million dollar less than before.
Gaa explains that any cuts that would need to be done is painful to do.
City Manager Joe Gaa will deliver his budget message to the council on August 7th.
The Aberdeen City Council did approve the second reading on an amendment addressing the snow removal policy.
