WASHINGTON, D.C.(KELO)- Senator John Thune says Democrats are trying to undermine the U.S. Supreme Court.

Thune says Democrat are proposing to “pack” the Supreme Court because they don’t like the court’s makeup, and some of its decisions.

Senator Thune says he expects a robust debate on a Democrat bill that he says undermines the court’s legitimacy.

Instead of making those efforts, Thune says it’s time to work on the National Defense Authorization Act.

In addition to changing the structure of the court, Thune says Democrats have also tried to put pressure on individual justices.
