ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The Brown County Farm Bureau held their annual meeting on Tuesday night in Aberdeen. The Bureau received updates from South Dakota Farm Bureau President Scott Vanderwal & Director of Public Policy & Lobbyist Matthew Bogue.
Bogue mainly focus on South Dakota issues including looking closely at the summer study on county funding.
Bogue also talked about a bill Governor Kristi Noem was trying to make its way through the legislature this year involving foreign purchases.
President Vanderwal spoke about what’s happening in Washington including an update on the upcoming Farm Bill.
Vanderwal talks about making sure the bill stays unified.
Vanderwal provided an update on the Waters of the United States and their opposition to what President Biden is doing.
Vanderwal also updated what’s going on involving international trade.
South Dakota Farm Bureau will hold their state convention coming up in October.
