HURON, S.D.(KWAT)–South Dakota Public Safety Department Secretary Craig Price is troubled by the recent uptick in fatal traffic crashes across the state.
Price says nearly half of this year’s road deaths in South Dakota have occurred over the past eight weeks.
With highways being busy this Labor Day weekend, and thousands of people traveling to the State Fair in Huron, he wants people to be safe.
The Department of Public Safety will have a booth at the State Fair this weekend where drug dog demonstrations will be held.
People who need their driver’s license renewed can also do that at the DPS booth this weekend.
