WATERTOWN, S.D.(KWAT)–There’s a misperception that once the school year ends, a college campus gets quiet over the summer months.
That was not the case at Lake Area Technical College (LATC) this summer.
President Tiffany Sanderson updated the Watertown School Board Monday night on the various academic camps that were attended by middle and high school students.
LATC is in its fourth week of the new school year, and Sanderson says enrollment numbers remain strong.
Sanderson says nine of LATC’s 31 academic programs are at capacity when it comes to student enrollment.
Programs at capacity this fall include nursing, welding, aviation, automotive and cosmetology.
