PIERRE, S.D.(DRGNews)- Rarely does a community theater group have the opportunity to meet or work with the author of a show they are performing, but that’s what the directors and cast of Pierre Players current production have gotten to do.
“Inconsequential Dreams,” was written by Michelle Schaunaman from Aberdeen. She says she loves acting in her local community theater, but noticed something missing from many of the females roles that are available.
Schaunaman says she did a lot of writing and rewriting while getting input from friends, family and fellow actors.
Schaunaman’s advice to those with an interest in writing…. just start doing it.
Schaunaman says she has a second play in production in Aberdeen.
Schaunaman says her name may be on the show bill, but her writing process includes many people.
Pierre Players has three performances left of “Inconsequential Dreams.” They are Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights this week (Sept. 21-23, 2023). Doors open at 7pm CT, with performance at 7:30pm CT. Find ticket information at https:/pierreplayers.com/.
