RAPID CITY, S.D.(KOTA)- A pair of shootings took place in South Rapid City within a twelve hour period between Sunday and Monday within a ten minute drive of one another.
Brendyn Medina, spokesperson for the Rapid City Police Department, said there is no reason to believe the shootings are connected.
The first incident took place at Tamarack Drive Sunday afternoon.
The second shooting found three gunshot victims at Marquette Drive.
22 year-old Jesse (Sh-Mock-ul) Schmockel of Kyle is currently being sought by the RCPD for questioning relating to the Marquette Drive incident. Schmockel is described as Native, 5’0, 90 pounds, and has multiple distinct tattoos, including the word “Love” above her left eye.
Anyone with information regarding Schmockel’s whereabouts are encouraged to contact the RCPD immediately.
