MITCHELL, S.D.(KMIT)- AAA is projecting holiday travel to be up this holiday season both nationally and in South Dakota.  Shawn Steward of AAA says all modes of travel will see increases.

He says a majority of those traveling will do so by car.

Steward says AAA has also projected the busiest travel days for drivers.

Declining gas prices and the mild winter are major factors in the increase in travelers by car this Christmas.
