An estimated 300 people participated in a State Softball Tournament over the weekend, with others as spectators and family, many coming from out of town. Tournament Director Shauna Wright tells us a bit about her involvement and what the experience was like.

The community shined in most aspects with several making their first trip to the fields in Aberdeen finding Hotel rooms was a challenge for some. Wright said she and the Organization plan to continue to bid the tournaments now that they are able to host and bring more people to the area.

At least one Aberdeen team had secured a Championship as of 1 o’clock Sunday.
