Aberdeen businessman facing felony charges

ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – Travis C. Kiefer, Aberdeen businessman and property developer, is facing felony charges and is involved in a civil lawsuit.

The 32-year-old man pleaded not guilty to felony charges of forgery, burglary, aiding abetting burglary, aiding abetting grand theft and grand theft. Kiefer owns the business Ease and also purchased the federal courthouse and Citizens Building.

The burglary and grand theft charges stem from an incident in which Kiefer is accused of entering a property and stealing household items. Trial has been set for April 27-28.

The forgery charge stems from an incident in which Kiefer is accused of falsely making, completing or altering a mortgage agreement. Trial has been set for April 13-14.
