Aberdeen Central band director Jeremy Schutter to march in 2026 Rose Parade

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- Aberdeen Central’s Band Director Jeremy Schutter is among 300 band directors chosen across the country to walk in the upcoming 2026 Tournament of Roses Parade to be held January 1st in Pasadena, C.A.

The Saluting America’s Marching Band Directors’ theme is “America’s band directors: We teach music. We teach life.”

Schutter will be playing the trombone at the parade.  While in Pasadena he will also be playing trombone for the Saluting America’s Band Directors Jazz Band.  They will be performing on New Year’s Eve at the Rose Parade Band Directors’ Breakfast.

Schutter released the following statement:

“It is an honor and a privilege to join these ensembles of band directors from across the nation who work so passionately to provide excellent musical opportunities in their schools which help young people to not only be better musicians, but also become more compassionate human beings.”

The parade route is around 5.5 miles long.
