ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- On Thursday, members of the Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce & the Aberdeen Development Corporation discussed items they’re looking at for the 2023 South Dakota legislative session.
Mike Bockorny with ADC talks about HB1011 that deals with unemployment benefits.
One bill that has cleared a conference committee is SB41 that deals with housing infrastructure. Rachel Dix with HAPI was at Pierre for the hearing with the Senate Commerce and Energy.
Bockorny talked about water issues which will be talked about in Pierre.
Another issue Bockorny is looking at he hopes will become at least an upcoming summer study.
NSU President Neal Schnoor talks about agenda items the school is looking at. The first one deals with things associated with the Board of Regents.
President Schnoor is looking inflation construction costs.
Schnoor also looking to improve some projects at NSU including the Barnett Center.
The group will meet each Thursday during the legislative session.
