ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- At Tuesday’s Aberdeen City Council meeting, the council heard a request from Transportation Director Rich Krokel to raise the base fare rate for Aberdeen Ride Line from $2 up to $3.

Krokel discuss the reason for the rate increase.

Krokel talked about a similar situation taking place at Pierre.

Krokel was asked to compare our Ride Line to that of Pierre.

Aberdeen Mayor Travis Schaunaman feels this is a fair increase.

Aberdeen City Council approved the request

Once approved by the SDDOT, this could generate a revenue increase as much as $67.000 per year.
