ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- At Monday’s Aberdeen City Council meeting, the council discussed a resolution to help with the construction of a new water tower for Industrial Park at the east end of town.

Ted Dickey with NE Council of Governments talks about what the resolution is about.

Dickey told the commission the cost for the new water tower.

Dickey was required to present a worst case scenario which is if this is just a loan from South Dakota DANR & told the council the payment cycle if they have to pay it back.

Dickey explains that that the city would have to increase the rates to cover the loan.

The council approved the first reading on a 7-0 vote.  Second reading will be Monday, January 8th.
