ABERDEEN, S.D.(Hub City Radio)- At Tuesday’s Aberdeen City Council meeting, Aberdeen City Manager Dave McNeil discussed the ordinance addressing the 2027 budget.  The budget is estimated to be about 183 million dollars.

This is McNeil’s first budget since becoming city manager and went over his thought process on how he came about to it.  He talked to each of the department heads.

McNeil used that information to help create next year’s budget.

McNeil also looked ahead to the Capitol Improvement Plan for the next five years.  He reflected back on this year’s projects.

McNeil also discussed a possible delay of the 6th Avenue Bridge that is scheduled to be worked on in 2027.

Aberdeen City Engineer Leif Redinger discussed what they are looking at for the Capitol Improvement Plan.

McNeil also discussed working on various water projects as a part of that plan.

No individual numbers were presented.  Aberdeen Finance Officer Jordan McQuillen did talk about a couple of adjustment being made sine the budget was introduced on Friday.
