Aberdeen City Council approve final reading to allow golf carts on city streets

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The Aberdeen City Council on Monday night did their second reading on an ordinance that would allow golf carts to be driven inside the city.  Prior to the votes, citizens of Aberdeen expressed concerns about the safety aspect of allowing them on the streets.

Aberdeen Police Chief Dave McNeil discussed the safety concerns.

Aberdeen City Attorney Ron Wager talks about the times golf carts will be allowed on the streets.

The City Council approved the resolution on a 9-0 vote.

The ordinance will go in effect twenty days after it get published.  That could be sometime in the middle of May.
