ABERDEEN, S.D.(Hub City Radio)- On Monday night, Aberdeen City Manager Dave McNeil addressed promotional funds for various community organizations.

The council approved the resolution.

Funding goes to the following:

Aberdeen Area Arts Council:  $30,000

Aberdeen Area BMX:  $20,000

Aberdeen Area Chamber of Commerce, City Marketing:  $130,000

Aberdeen Community Concert Association:  $2,500

Aberdeen Community Theatre:  $30,000

Aberdeen Curling Club:  $5,000

Aberdeen Downtown Association:  $125,000 (Councilman Rich Ward looked to cut funding by a dollar to avoid any financial reviews.  That was defeated on a 6-2 vote)

Aberdeen YMCA YDC Expansion(Year 5 of 5-year request):  $100,000

Aberdeen YMCA Indoor Playground(Year 1 of 2-year request):  $20,000

Aberdeen Hockey Association:  $25,000

Aberdeen Swim Club:  $10,500

Aberdeen Wrestling Club:  $5,000

Aberdeen Boys and Girls Club:  $35,000

Aberdeen Convention and Visitors Bureau:  $550,000

Dacotah Prairie Museum:  $12,000

Dacotah Prairie Museum Expansion(Year 2 allocation):  $140,000

NSU-Educational Impact Campaign(Year 9 of 10-year request):  $185,000

Sertoma Club:  $150,000

Aberdeen Municipal Allocation:  $175,000
