ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- On Monday night the Aberdeen City Council held a hearing to determine whether to award the municipal hangar at the Aberdeen Airport to Darrell Hillestead.
Speaking against the resolution was the attorney for Qwest Aviation, Adam Altman. Altman explain about the loss revenue to the city by awarding the hangar to Hillestead.
Altman told the council that Qwest Aviation offered the highest bid by over $100,000.
Hillestead said his business in not out to make enemies at the airport.
Altman made claims about the hangar having no bathrooms and parking issues. Hillestead had a response to it.
Hillestead’s attorney Drew Johnson expressed a pending lawsuit between Qwest and Hillestead.
The Aberdeen City Council voted 7-0 with 1 abstaining to award the hangar to Darrell Hillestead.
