Aberdeen City Council did a work session dealing with nuisances

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- Prior to the city council meeting Monday, the city councilpersons did a work session dealing with an ordinance dealing with issues of public & criminal nuisances.

Planning & Zoning Director Brett Bill talks about how much of an issue public nuisances are.

City Attorney Ron Wager concur with what Bill was saying.

Wager stated a couple of different examples of a public nuisiance.

Wager runs down some of the punishments that could happen.

Councilman Justin Reinbold raised a major concern.

Councilwoman Tiffany Langer express concern between the landlord and the renter of the property.

Another topics discussed was the issue of criminal nuisance.  Aberdeen Police Chief stated an example of an event that took place recently.

City Manager Joseph Gaa summarized the work session in the end.
