ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The Aberdeen City Council at Monday’s meeting addressed a potential change to the schedule for removal snow in the city. In the past, downtown parking lots were done on the second night of snow removal. It was the second reading of this ordinance. Two weeks ago Aberdeen Public Works Director Stu Nelson talked about why the change was needed.
Nelson talks about moving the snow removal on these parking lots to before doing street removal.
Nelson feels this will benefit the city by allowing citizens to park on these lots once the snow is removed.
Aberdeen City Manager Robin Bobzien explains that this will make for a much better process.
The Aberdeen City Council approved the second reading of this ordinance on an 9-0 vote.
