ABERDEEN, S.D.(Hub City Radio)- A new feature was included in Monday’s Aberdeen City Council meeting.  They will be hearing reports on a monthly basis from Econcomic Development Manager Amber Schwab.

Schwab talked about how they will try to shape the future of the city.

Schwab discussed working with the DANR(Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources) about projects they are working on along the Washington buidling, Aberdeen Civic Arena, and the Civic Theatre.

Schwab also went some of their priorities within the department.  One is the issue of housing in Aberdeen.

Another is working in collaboration with various other departments.

Schwab also talked about the success of this year’s parade on the Fourth of July.

Schwab also discussed continuing to improve the city’s website.

Schwab also updated on progress being made for the bike park and trail proposed earlier this year.

Schwab plans to provided monthly updates to the Aberdeen City Council.
