ABERDEEN, S.D.(Hub City Radio)- Aberdeen Area Convention and Visitors Bureau Executive Director Casey Weismantel reported to the city council on Monday night.

Weismantel reminded the council what some of their goals are.

Weismantel broke down two areas.  Tourism and hunting so far in 2026 through their website.  he started with numbers on the tourism side.

Weismantel admitted the hunting side is down compared to tourism.

Weismantel told the council how many people have visited Aberdeen so far in 2026 through May.

Weismantel also addressed lodging, eating, and drinking that used for the promotional fund.

Weismantel told the council how they plan to market going forward.

The numbers Weismantel released were some of the best Aberdeen has seen in ten years.
