Aberdeen City Council held a work session Monday to deal with the 2022 city budget

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- On Monday night, the Aberdeen City Council held a work session to deal with the upcoming 2022 city budget.

Aberdeen Finance Officer Karl Alberts talks about the projected sales tax figures for 2021.

City Manager Joseph Gaa talks about the some of the bonds that he would like to see the city pay off.

City Engineer Robin Bobzien talks about some of the work the city could be doing under the 2022 budget including putting lights up at the intersection where 3M & Banner are located at.

Bobzien talks about some road work that could be done along the old 281 & 8th Ave N toward the city.

Gaa in this budget also is putting a request for an increase in pay for city council members.

Alberts talks about how much money is in the reserve fund for the city of Aberdeen.
