ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The Aberdeen City Council was pleased to announce Monday night a Memorandum of Understanding(MOU) with BDM and Web on a project to get more water from the Missouri River.

City Manager Robin Bobzien discuss what the project is about.

City Attorney Ron Wager talks about how much water the city would receive from the WINS(Water Investment in Northern South Dakota) project.

Mayor Travis Schaunaman express excitement about getting better water for the city and the region.

The city council voted unanimously to approve the memorandum.  Following the vote City Manager Bobzien emphasize that this is not to take away from water in the rural communities.

City Councilman Rob Ronayne talks about the potential time this water could arrive to the community.

City Councilman David Novstrup believe the timing is right with the legislature beginning their session Tuesday.

Mayor Schaunaman, Councilmen Ronayne & Novstrup all played key roles in putting this memorandum in place.
