ABERDEEN, S.D. (Hub City Radio)-

The Aberdeen City Council addressed an agreement for the Aberdeen Cycling Association for the maintenance of the Northwest Nature Area.  The location is at 924 24th Ave NW.

Aberdeen Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Director Matt Braun reminded the council what happened back in April.

Braun informed the council the feedback he was receiving back then involving this location.

Braun talked about what the ACA are planning to do at that location.

One Aberdeen citizen expressed concerns about why they are using that location.

She believed the ACA should have gotten feedback about using that location.

Braun told the audience the board discussed this back in April.

Councilwoman Erin Fouberg believed the next step should be to make the location a parkland and said to try to find a happy medium.

The city council moved to table the agreement.  They are schedule to address this on Monday, November 2nd.
