ABERDEEN, S.D. (Press Release) – The Aberdeen Family YMCA will close the YMCA, Youth Development Center, and CrossFit Rails following Governor Kristi Noem’s declaration of a state of emergency in South Dakota in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The facilities will be closed March 14-22.

The closure is part of a mitigation strategy to prevent the potential spread of COVID-19. This is part of Governor Noem’s and President Trump’s declaration, and CDC guidelines toward being a successful strategy is this fight. While over 80 percent who get COVID-19 only get mild symptoms, we want to protect the most fragile members of our community who would be the most impacted.
