Aberdeen looking at potential foot of snow as storm approaches

ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – Winter is not quite finished, yet.

Aberdeen will be in a blizzard warning starting at 7 p.m. Wednesday until 1 p.m. Friday because of a major storm that is expected to deposit large amounts of snow across the state.

Mike Connelly, Meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Aberdeen, said that conditions will start to deteriorate Wednesday afternoon and worsen into Thursday.

He said the snow will likely stick around for a few days because of cooler temperatures.

While conditions won’t be good in the Aberdeen area, they are likely to be much worse in other regions of the state.

Connelly said travel plans will be impacted during the storm.
