ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – The mall in Aberdeen is getting another new name.

The Aberdeen Mall, formerly the Lakewood Mall, will now be known as Uptown Aberdeen.

Andy Weiner, President of RockStep Capital, explained the rebranding.

He said the name Uptown Aberdeen makes sense for the Hub City community.

RockStep owns 10 other malls, all with Uptown preceding the city’s name.

Weiner said big things are planned for Uptown Aberdeen in the future.

RockStep is offering assistance to qualified businesses who want to move into the facility.
