ABERDEEN, S.D. (APD Facebook) – At approximately 12:38 p.m. on Sunday, May 10 Aberdeen Police responded to the 800 block of South State Street in reference to an assault.
Upon arrival it was learned that a male had been stabbed in the chest. The victim was transported to Avera St. Lukes Hospital and was last reported to be in stable condition.
Investigation led to the arrest of Jama Warsame Dirie, age 40 of Aberdeen. He was charged with aggravated assault, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
