Aberdeen man dead following crash northwest of Aberdeen

ABERDEEN, S.D.(Press Release)- An Aberdeen man has been identified as the person who died Tuesday evening in a one-vehicle crash northwest of Aberdeen, S.D.

Preliminary crash information indicates that a 1996 Ford F150 pickup was traveling north on 384th Ave. The pickup entered the west ditch and rolled.

The driver of the pickup, 55-year-old Darryl Hanisch, died at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt.

South Dakota’s Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. All information released so far is only preliminary.

The Highway Patrol is an agency of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
