57 yr old William Bragg of Aberdeen was sentenced in a Brown County Court today. The AI, or Artificial Intelligence portion of this case is the 1st of its kind in South Dakota, which presented some challenges for sentencing. Ultimately Bragg plead guilty to 3 counts of Possessing Child pornography and was sentenced to 5 years on 1 count, with 1 yr suspended. 5 years on another with 1 yr suspended, and 5 years with 5 years suspended on a 3rd charge. The suspensions allow the court to monitor and implement additional punishment, should Bragg not comply with all requirements and conditions. All convictions will run consecutively.

Bragg must also pay restitution and court costs of $4,270 and will be required to register as a sex offender.

Bragg addressed the Judge and Gallery, saying that he is sorry for his actions.
