ABERDEEN, S.D.(Press Release)- A walking tour of the Highlands Historic District is being sponsored by the Aberdeen Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department on Thursday, September 23, at 6:30 p.m. Troy McQuillen will lead this leisurely 45-minute walk through one of Aberdeen’s older residential neighborhoods. People will learn about the history of early Aberdeen settlers, as well as building architectural styles of the period.
There is no fee for this activity and the tour will begin at the corner of 12th Avenue Northeast and Main Street.
People wishing to participate in this tour should put their name on an interest list by September 20th at 5 p.m. The tour will be limited to 12 people.
