Aberdeen Police respond to incident at Wylie Park

ABERDEEN, S.D.(Press Release)- Thursday night at 5:38pm officers responded to a drowning incident at Wylie Park. An off duty Aberdeen police officer was there with his family and immediately began searching for the victim. Other first responders arrived and assisted. A 20 year old female was pulled from the water and transported by ambulance to Avera hospital.
Late last night, the victim who was transported to Avera St. Luke’s Hospital died. We would like to offer our condolences to all her family and friends.
