ABERDEEN, S.D.(Press Release)- The Aberdeen Public Schools Foundation is proud to announce that nominations for the 2025 Aberdeen Central High School Hall of Fame are officially open. This prestigious recognition honors outstanding individuals and teams who have made significant contributions to the school community and beyond.
Nominations are accepted in the areas of Academics/Achievement, Athletics, Fine Arts, and Distinguished Service. Nominees should be known for their outstanding contributions and dedication that sets them apart from their peers at the high school, university, and/or professional levels. Nominees may also include non-alumni who have made significant contributions to Central High School as staff, administrators, school board, volunteers, or the general public.
The nomination process is open to the public. Nominations may be submitted with the attached form or online through the Aberdeen Public Schools Foundation website, www.AberdeenPublicSchoolsFoundation.org, or by contacting the Foundation office at 605-725-7118 orGretchen.Sharp@k12.sd.us. The deadline for submissions is January 17, 2025.
Eligible nominees are contacted in January to provide information and supporting documentation. Candidates submitting information and documentation are then reviewed by the selection committees who choose each year’s Hall of Fame inductees. The APS Foundation looks forward to receiving a diverse range of nominations that showcase the school’s rich history and the accomplishments of its exceptional alumni.
The 2025 CHS Hall of Fame Banquet will take place September 27, 2025, as part of CHS’s Homecoming festivities. Tickets will go on sale in the summer of 2025.
The Hall of Fame is a special project of the Aberdeen Public Schools Foundation. The APS Foundation supports Aberdeen School District students and staff by fostering educational excellence and preparing students for a successful future.
