ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)-  The city of Aberdeen received since last Wednesday night over eight inches of snow.  Over four inches fell the past weekend.  Aberdeen Public Works Director Stu Nelson told the Aberdeen City Council the strategy used to deal with the snow.

Nelson told the council after the first wave of snow came through why no plowing was done immediately after that.

Nelson acknowledged that something needed to be done after the snowfall this past weekend.

Nelson discuss the resolution that was passed late last year that would have the parking lots being done first before the streets.  That was not an option in this situation.

The city of Aberdeen plowed downtown during the overnight hours.
