ABERDEEN, SD (Roncalli FB Post) – The Aberdeen Roncalli Cavaliers have a new golf coach & his name is Coach Chazz Vigil. He will be coaching the Boys golf team this fall.
Originally from Pueblo, Colorado, Coach Vigil comes to Aberdeen after earning his degree in PGA Golf Management from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. His connection to Aberdeen began through an internship at Moccasin Creek Country Club, where he now serves as First Assistant Golf Professional.
Coach Vigil brings a strong golf background, having competed at Otero Junior College before continuing his career at UCCS. He is also a newly elected member of the PGA of America. In addition to his playing experience, Coach Vigil has coached high school summer baseball and works with golfers of all ages through lessons and junior golf programs at Moccasin Creek.
Coach Vigil will be taking over for Coach Jon Murdy, who stepped down after many successful years with the Roncalli golf program.
