ABERDEEN, SD (HubCityRadio.com) – In their backyard on Thursday, the Aberdeen Roncalli Cavaliers golf squad proved there’s ‘no place like home’ en route to a dominant win over the field.

The Cavaliers finished 78 strokes ahead of the next closest competition, the Tigers of Groton Area high school.

Claire Crawford would be the medalist for the event, carding a (+1, 72) for the day. Crawford picked up birdies on the par four fourth hole, as well as the par four sixth; a double bogey on seven gave her an even par on the front nine. A pair of bogeys on the second nine & a birdie on the par five sixteenth hole gave her a one over for the day.

Mackenzie Wegehaupt placed second with (+5, 76) while Ava Danielson & Grace Seyer tied for third place, carding a (+12, 83) for the day. Carlee Johnson of Groton rounded out the top five, with a (+13, 84).
